After a much needed break we are continuing and will be having our next Farmers’ Market on Saturday 3^rd March at De-Lovely. We have decided to keep the venue at De-Lovely until further notice. We have also decided to move the date to the first Saturday of the month.

The Market at De-Lovely was very well attended and mostly by fathers' with their daughters. It was awesome to see. Steve's falafels were sublime and the rain stayed away again. Thanks to Julme, Desire & Salome for all the effort.

Welcome to the new stall holders, Anne & Jean with very nice kitchen appliances and food products at ridiculously cheap prices. Also welcome to Monica and Tillie who are selling amazing quality hand made jewellery on behalf of a very talented lady in the old age home.

The Oliviers’ were back with their amazing honey and shelled pecan nuts. Lesley had the freshest vegetables in town and also very nice biltong and droewors. Maria had her usual amazing baked products and lots of her famous patatrolle – delicious! Steve had his breads and very tasty beef burgers with blue cheese dressing and radishes. Theresa had beautiful proteas, micro-green seedlings and baked goods. Tannie Hannah and Albert were on top form as usual – how does she bake so many pies?

Next Farmers' Market at the Sandveldhuisie this weekend. Hopefully we won't get rained out, otherwise we will be inside the museum where we may still get rained on with that old roof...

We had our usual loyal local support and also a lot of tourists.

The organic sausages with Steve’s bread and Leslie’s chutney (Mrs Ball’s original recipe) were a huge hit. Martli made the yummiest mushrooms with her salt lemons. Tannie Hannah and Maria were true to form with their amazing baking.

Market at Citrusdal Kwekery

Our market at The Citrusdal Kwekery was great– what an amazing venue – thank you to Magriet & Piet for letting us be there. The atmosphere at the Nursery was right in keeping with a Farmers’ Market and the plants all look wonderful at this time of the year, it looked spectacular. Magriet made delicious iced tea on the stoep and the place was full of beautiful fresh flowers. It was a boiling hot day and thank goodness for all the shade.
